Terms of Use
Last updated: 2 July 2026
Who we are and what this is
These terms are an agreement between you and Denis Lipatov, a private individual residing in the Republic of Serbia (the “operator”), covering the votawallet.app website, the my.votawallet.app web application and the VotaWallet Telegram bot (together, the “service”).
By creating an account or using the bot you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.
The service and its early-access status
VotaWallet is a personal and family expense-tracking tool that reads Serbian fiscal receipts via their QR codes.
The service is currently in early access (beta) and is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”: features may change, break or be removed, downtime may occur, and the operator may suspend or discontinue the service. We will give reasonable advance notice of discontinuation where possible.
Your account
- You must be at least 15 years old to use the service.
- Keep your password and sign-in token safe; you are responsible for activity under your account.
- One account per person. Provide accurate sign-up information.
Acceptable use
The service is for personal and family finance tracking. You must not:
- probe, disable or circumvent security features, or access other users' data;
- scrape, overload or disrupt the service, or use it to send spam;
- store unlawful content in notes or uploads;
- resell or sublicense access to the service.
Your content
Your financial records remain yours. You grant the operator only the permissions needed to run the service: to store and process your data, fetch and parse receipt records, suggest categories, and show shared records to your family members when you enable sharing.
When you add names or labels of other people (for example, family members), you are responsible for having the right to do so.
Family sharing
Inviting someone to your family means sharing the records marked as shared — accounts, categories and transactions — with them. Invite only people you trust. The operator is not responsible for what members of your family do with data you have chosen to share with them.
Donations and perks
Donations are voluntary, are processed by external platforms (Boosty, direct crypto transfers) and are not payments for a service. They are non-refundable except where the law provides otherwise.
Two perks are currently promised to supporters:
- Founding supporter: the 100 supporters with the largest total donated amount across all donation channels during the beta receive a free subscription for the lifetime of the service; donations in other currencies or crypto are converted at the exchange rate on the day of donation, as recorded by the operator. The end of the beta will be announced on the website.
- Promo codes (including the −50% code): a permanent discount off future subscription prices, valid for the lifetime of the service.
All perks are tied to a single account, are non-transferable and have no cash value. “Lifetime” means the lifetime of the service: if the service is permanently discontinued, perks end with it. Perks are matched to your account manually — contact us with your donation details at [email protected].
Future paid plans
Paid subscriptions may be introduced after the beta, with prior notice. Features may move between free and paid tiers. Perks described above will be honored as defined.
Intellectual property
The service, its software, design and brand belong to the operator. VotaWallet is not open-source software. You may not copy, modify or create derivative works from it.
Disclaimers
VotaWallet is a record-keeping tool, not financial, tax or legal advice. Receipt data comes from the Tax Administration record and may contain errors; category suggestions and currency conversions are estimates. Verify anything important independently.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, lost data or losses caused by service interruptions. Nothing in these terms limits rights that Serbian law grants you and that cannot be waived, including mandatory consumer rights.
Termination
You may stop using the service at any time, wipe your financial data in the app, or request full account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy. The operator may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with prior notice where feasible.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated; the date above always reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced on the website or in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia; disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the competent court in Serbia. Mandatory consumer protections remain unaffected.
